Amanda will be singing for A Little R & R on Monday September 28th 2009 as part of the Theatre Barn’s New Composer Series.  She will be performing alongside Megan Reinking, Kevin Massey, Brian Gallagher, Krysta Rodriguez, and Brooke Sunny Moriber.  The show starts at 9:30 at The Duplex.

Amanda will be performing in a benefit Gala to help support the Matheny Medical and Educational Center.  The event will take place on November 14 2009 from 3-6 at the Schonhorn Arts Center in Peapack, NJ. Tickets are $25 and benefit an amazing organization.  Amanda will be performing alongside Megan Reinking, Adam Fitzgerald and Ryan Boda. Read the NY Times article about the concert.

Amanda will once again be participating in a reading for Stageplays Theatre Company.  She will be playing the role of April in the new play Broken Fences by Steven Simoncic.

Amanda will be performing in another benefit concert, this time to support and raise money for the Musical Theatre Department at the newly founded Gramercy Atrs High School in Manhattan. Time to Fly: A Benefit Concert takes place Monday November 30th 2009 at the Gramery Arts High School,  40 Irving Place.  Amanda will be performing with Danyelle Williams and her good friend LaQuet Sharnell, both currently in Memphis on Braodway! Amanda will be playing the role of Anna in the upcoming reading of Ripped!. The show will be part of the TRU Voices New Musical Reading Series at The Players Theatre on Tuesday December 15th 2009 at 7:00. Reservations are recommended.

Amanda reprised her role of Dame Anna in the newly renamed Rip! at Tada Theatre on April 21, 2010.  Stephen Nachamie directed and Jeff Biering was the musical director.

Amanda was honored to play Dolores in the initial reading of The Passion of Ed Wood for the amazingly talented writing team of Justin Warner and Rob Kendt.  A 20 minute selection of the piece was performed on May 6, 2010 at the BMI Workshop for David Yazbek and Austin Pendleton.

Amanda will be singing at the Dream a Little Dream 2010 Gala supporting the Dreamlight Theatre Company on Sunday June 6, 2010.  Dreamlight is run by my friend Chip Klose, and I am honored to support new theatre!

Amanda will be teaching voice lessons in Tyler, Texas the weekend of August 6-8 2010.  Amanda is well versed in numerous styles including classical, musical theatre, and pop.  If you are interested in learning more about how to properly sing in a variety of styles, email Amanda to set up a lesson!  This will be the first of what will be become regular visits to the East Texas area. 

Amanda will be singing in Danbury, CT on October 11 2010 as part of the Musical Mondays! series.  She will be singing alongside Megan Reinking, Michael Scott, Brian Gallagher, Anne Brummel, Nick Dalton, and Rob Rokicki.  Tickets are $15 and can be purchased here.

Amanda was mentioned on Broadway World for her charity walk for the AFSP!  I raised over $900 before the walk, but donations will be accepted until December 31, 2010.  Donations of all sizes are welcome!

Amanda will be playing Mary Flynn in Rob Rokicki and Mike Ruby’s fifteen minute musical Polly, Want a Mortgage?  The show will be presented as part of The Fall Collection which is a benefit to raise money for the Astaire Awards.  The show is Tuesday November 2nd 2010 at 8PM followed by a reception.  There is a $15 suggested donation at the door. 

Amanda played Valerie Ashley in a reading of I Am, I Will, I Do a new musical by Dan Manjovi at the Dramatists Guild on November 19, 2010.

Amanda has been accepted to the New York Singing Teachers Association.

Amanda has been added to the roster of instructors at The Studio New Canaan.  She will be teaching Musical Theatre Performance Classes for ages Pre K-9th beginning January 2011.  Check out her listing here!

Amanda is subbing as a voice and piano teacher at Art House Astoria until December 2010.  The school is owned by her good friends Micah and Jane Burgess.

Amanda has joined the faculty at Front and Center for Performing Arts in Springfield, NJ beginning in January teaching private voice as well as musical theatre classes beginning. Check out the studio here!

Amanda will be joining her friends Cortney Wolfson (Addams Family), Megan Reinking (Lestat, Hair), Tally Sessions (Legally Blonde), Brian Gallagher, Heather Parcells (Wonderland, Chorus Line), Lorinda Lisitza, Nic Rowe, Jamaal Wilson, Mike Ruby, Joe Iconis, Zach Jones, Micah Burgess, Dennis Michael Keefe, and Rob Rokicki at Spread The Love: The Songs of Rob Rokicki and Friends.  The concert is this Sunday February 13th at 7:00pm at the Laurie Beechman Theatre.  The cover is $10 and there is a $15 food and beverage minimum.  The food is good, so plan on having dinner there!  Reservations are encouraged: 212-695-6909

I will be pursuing my Master of Music in Vocal Performance with a concentration in Musical Theatre at NYU’s Steinhardt School beginning September 2011!  In addition to the MM, I will also be pursuing an Advanced Certificate in Vocal Pedagogy.

I will be teaching voice at NYU Steinhardt this fall!  I am available to teach any NYU student who is not majoring in voice, but still wants to take lessons.  Contact me for more information!

Amanda reprised the role of Mary Flynn in Polly, Want a Mortgage? at Ars Nova as part of Fight/Flight: The Songs From the Musicals of Rokicki and Ruby.

Amanda is now a member of both The Voice Foundation and NATS

Amanda is attending The Junior Theatre Festival in Atlanta, GA where she will be working over 3,000 students who are learning more about musical theatre. Visit iTheatrics for more information about JTF, which is the largest festival in the country of its kind.
